Apple has now approved over 100,000 applications for its App Store, dwarfing apps offered by competitors Android Marketplace, Windows Mobile Marketplace, BlackBerry App World and the Nokia Ovi Store. iPhone sales show huge growth

Apple have seen a whopping 620% growth in iPhone sales over the last year. The figures, revealed in their financials for the period Q3 2009, shop that they sold 5.2 million iPhones during the three-month period covered by the report. This sales growth will no doubt be fuelled by the new iPhone3GS.
