Foxcomm gets go-ahead for 4th generation iPhone

Is the next gen iPhone on the way? It looks like the iPhone3GS replacement is already on the cards.

Apparently Foxcomm have received an order from Apple to manufacture the fourth generation iPhone, due to market mid next year.

iPhone 3GS takes top spot

In the Consumer Reports newest smart phone ratings, the new iPhone 3GS beat its rivals to claim the top spot. In what was a close run race its nearest competitors were the Palm Pre and the BlackBerry Storm.

The newest edition of the iPhone displayed a strong rating in every area except voice quality, with the consolation being that non of its chief rivals did much better in that area. The 3GS triumphed in the quality of its display, its navigational abilities and battery life – one of the new and improved features of the iPhone.

UK retailer play.com has numerous listing for the new Apple iPhone 3GS, with the 32GB editions at a cool £899.99! I thought the standard PAYG version was expensive. Wonder how well they’re selling!
